With over a twenty years of experience in working with people from all over the world, I developed methods of training geared to professionals. I use a learner centered approach engaging participants in an active role in relating the training topics to their own life work and skills. Therefore I use methods that starts from participants own reality and builds upon these experiences. I integrate knowledge and insights from psychology, management development, anthropology and creative arts in my training programs.
As a management trainer I had assignments in the Netherlands, the People’s Republic of China (HEMCC) and the Republic of Surinam (FHR), focusing on leadership or managerial potential, teambuilding, empowerment and unlocking of talents. As a trainer I developed several training programs in and outside The Netherlands. The publications Wisdom is like a baobab tree and Unleashing the potential of refugee women describe the multidimensional way of cultural sensitive learning projects in empowering people. Projects and training programs are inspired by Ubuntu values, Otto Scharmers U-theory and Covey’s principles of effectiveness.
